SUMMER MOVIE LOVING?

The summer time is filled with sun, beaches, barbecues, and hanging with friends and family outside all day long. Some may have little to no time to watch the next big blockbuster in theaters during this time. However, I say that is wrong, what about those rainy or lazy days??? The perfect opportunity to either watch at home or go to your local theatre. In this post I will be discussing 2 Movies that will be sure to do great things at the Box office. One of the reasons why is because Movies aim for that perfect release date and some of these will do a lot better during this time because people are off from school and work making it easier for them to see it!

1st up is The Hangover Part 3. For the past two years every Memorial Day The Hangover has released a movie to tame the anticipation the fans have after seeing the first one not to long ago. It opened up with high expectations but with quick word of mouth the amount of people going to see this movie made it a huge hit at the box office. Be sure to check out The Hangover 3 in theaters for a good laugh!

The 2nd Movie this summer with high expectations is Man of Steel. Let me tell you something, this movie looks AWESOME. I was never into comics or anything along those lines while growing up, but with the way this movie looks I just may be.

Both of these movies will ROCK at the Box Office, so on a rainy day be sure to check out these two!
Happy Summer

TOP 5 MOVIES OF ALL TIME

Hey all its me again!!! This week I decided to do something a little bit different from what I am normally bringing to you. Considering this weekend there are no real blockbusters at the box office i have decided to introduce to you what I think are the top 5 movies of all time! Top 5 as in the best!

1. THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION
If you have not seen this movie, SHAME on you!!! The movie is an absolute masterpiece, a total mind blowing movie. Stephen King book that made it to the big screen that centers in on a friendship of two jailed men that strike up a friendship during their time. The ending is what totally well for myself makes it into the movie that is the biggest MUST SEE EVER!!!!!!!!! 20 thumbs up.

2. THE GODFATHER

Who has not seen the Godfather? I mean from the countless times it is available on TV, this movie is shown in homes all around the world and has instantly become one of the greatest! This movie for myself is number two on my list because it is all sorts of badass. Starring Marlon Brando, it portrays the Godfather of the family that is passing control of his family over to his son! Watch this movie!!!!!

3. PULP FICTION

This Movie is up there just simply for its pure genius, it is easily one of the best movies because it has an absolutely wonderful cast. Quentin Tarantino's stylish cult classic interweaves a series of vignettes about low-life criminals, lovers, and thugs. Check this Movie out!

4. SCHINDLERS LIST

Do you love a good war movie? Well look no further, I have one of the best ones ever right here for In Poland during World War II, Oskar Schindler gradually becomes concerned for his Jewish workforce after witnessing their persecution by the Nazis. Be sure to check out one of Steven Speilbergs best film ever.

ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE
5. Last but certainly not least, this movie is one of my favorites because of just how sweet it is!
An angel helps a compassionate but despairingly frustrated businessman by showing what life would have been like if he never existed.

Some may never agree with me, simply because they might have a different taste in movies. However, movies are just a wonderful opportunity to get lost for a little bit in our world. Some of my favorite movies I watched after hearing so many people talk about them. So if any of these even simply strikes you as something you could watch I would say GO FOR IT! They are great movies!

Thanks

THE GREAT GATSBY

ARE YOU AS EXCITED AS I AM FOR THIS UPCOMING FILM???? BECAUSE IT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!!!

Literally everything you could ask for in a film all bundled up into one

Great Cast
Awesome Music
Fantastic Costumes and Props
The Best Script

and the excitement that will be brought to the theatre is enough for me to be happy for months!!!!

If you haven't already noticed I may be a tad bit excited for this film. I mean come on who would not. Leonardo DiCaprio is BACK and he looks awesome in this movie. The Great Gatsby is an American Novel that takes place in 1922 during what as we know as the roaring Twenties, a time in the United States where we had the opportunity to flourish into our great nation. It is set in Long Island where Nick Carraway a war veteran is lured into his neighbors lavish lifestyle of Jay Gatsby. After finally discovering what he really is like. He watches Jays life become filled with madness and tragedy. This is truly a remarkable story and hopefully an even more remarkable movie. The way they decided to present this film is very visually appealing and will be sure to catch the eye of really any film critic.

I hope it does not disappoint. Tell me what you think because this is an ABSOLUTE must see!!!!!

Have Fun at the Movies!!!

IRON MAN 3 HITS THEATRES

Hello all and welcome to Dinger's Movie Madness,

This week I will be discussing the upcoming blockbuster that is Iron Man. For the past couple of years we have been treated to one of Marvels greatest and most fascinating super hero. Iron Man focuses in on a wealthy industrialist Tony Stark that was forced to build and armored suit after a life threatening incident. After, keeping his secret and continuing to be an engineering genius he decides to use his technology to fight against evil.

In the upcoming Iron Man 3 things take a turn for the worst when Tony Stark has developed an enemy known as Mandarian. His world comes crashing down and he sets out to see who is responsible. At every opportunity he is challenged and he is left alone to protect what he cherishes most.

Does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man????

Robert Downy Jr is back to bring forth the hit that is expected to kill it at the box office. So far across seas it has done exceptionally well. We will just have to wait and see after the weekend!
Be sure to check it out at your local theatre!

Disney Buys STAR WARS!

Hello Fellow Film Buffs,

Just a little information and some updates on whats going on in the world of film!!!!

Just recently Walt Disney Co. bought the Lucasfilm in a 4 billion dollar deal, this will bring forth plans to unleash the 7th episode in the summer of 2015. At first there was a lot of not so happy campers when this news was released especially those diehard fans not being too thrilled that their beloved star wars would be under the hands of people that brought you disney princesses. Although I must say Disney has proven themselves to bring forth their game when necessary and I honestly think they will stop at nothing to make sure they satisfy those who appeal to this. The deal includes Lucasfilm's prized high-tech production companies, Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound, as well as rights to the "Indiana Jones" franchise. The company expects the Lucasfilm deal to add to earnings in 2015. Along with the cash, Lucas will end up owning about 40 million Disney shares, which is about a 2.2 percent stake of the 1.83 billion shares that will be in circulation when the transaction closes.

This week in Movies

This upcoming weekend there is really only one movie that has great expectations!
The Evil Dead portrays Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

This is a remake from the 1981 picture. The first did not gain a lot of recognition at the box office but the remake has a strong fan following and is expected to be the best scary movie this year! Just from the trailer I am absolutely terrified! So be sure to check it out this weekend in theaters!

This week in DVDs, Zero Dark Thirty is now available for your enjoyment. This outstanding and academy award nominee movie shows Maya  a CIA operative whose first experience is in the interrogation of prisoners following the Al Qaeda attacks against the U.S. on the 11th September 2001. For several years, she works alone in her pursuit of leads to uncover the whereabouts of Al Qaeda's leader, Osama Bin Laden. Finally, in 2011, it appears that her work will pay off, and a U.S. Navy SEAL team is sent to kill or capture Bin Laden. But only Maya is confident Bin Laden is where she says he is.

Be sure to rent this at your local red box or dvd store!!!!!

The Host the Next Big Thing?

Hello All, its me again bringing you the latest news on the next big movie of the weekend. And this weekend it is a little different.

The woman that brought you the Twilight Saga is back again for a new twist on a love story.

The host directed by Andrew Nichool and stars Saorise Ronan, Diane Krugar, and Max Irons is opening this weekend with high hopes of becoming the next big thing.

It features newcomers to a story that many have seemed to cherish considering it is from the worldwide phenomenon that is Twilight. With this being said it has gained a lot of attention for that reason only. Putting a lot of pressure on the cast and production company. They decided to bring and produce it the best way they could to make sure it pleases the fans.

The host centers around a human Melanie, that is kidnapped by a seeker that is from an extraterrestrial race that has taken over the human world. Melanie is than infused with a soul known as the wander in order to discover the location of the other humans that she is with. Unfortunately, for the extraterrestrial race Melanie was able to survive the procedure and begins to struggle to take back her body.

For myself, the movie sounded absolutely crazy and a very hard to believe love story. However, I must admit  it was one of the neatest movies I have ever seen. It had everything in it and more. And the balance between the love story and making it believable was nicely done. So far one of my favorite movies of 2013.

Be sure to check it out in a theatre near you!

Winter is Coming

Hello fellow film Buff,

In this post I will take the time and tackle a different type of film and that is the wonderful and shocking show that is GAME OF THRONES!

For the past two seasons the American epic fantasy created by HBO and adapted from the George R. R. Martin Novels have continued to lure in and hook just about anyone. This master piece is filled with suspense and everything you have ever asked for in a TV series.

This series set in a fictional continents of Westeros and Essos at the end of a decade long summer has several different plot lines. The first covers the members of the iron throne of the seven  the second covers the rising threat of the impending winter and the mythical creatures of the North; the third chronicles the attempts of the exiled last scion of the realm's deposed dynasty to reclaim the throne. The series explores issues of social hierarchy, religion, civil war, sexuality, crime and punishment making it the most watched Television series on HBO.

I can guarantee you that if you take the time and watch the first two season you will NOT be disappointed I was hooked just from the intro. So please take the time and watch this upcoming seasons first episode on March 31st, 2013 at 9 p.m.

Have a wonderful Easter Break!

The OZ the Great & Powerful

Over 70 years ago, one of the best known films of the American popular culture was released The Wizard of Oz. This American Fantasy adventure film was produced by Metro Goldwyn Mayer based off the 1900 novel The Wondeful Wizard of Oz. This film known for its shooting in black and white was also technicolor. Although this film received lots of wonderful reviews it shockingly failed to deliver at the box office.

The Wizard of Oz was a alluring tale of a young kansas girl (Judy Garland) that lives with her Aunt and Uncle and other family that are too busy to pay any attention to her. These relatives tell her to go find some place where she won't get into any trouble causing her to sing "Over the rainbow". After wandering off trying to find a dog Dorothy gets caught in a hurricane that she suffers a hit to the head and falls unconsciene. Dorothy and Todo enter a world of technicolor name OZ, during her journey she meets the good witch (Glinda) and three friends along the way, that are all on there way to the Great Wizard of Oz to grant them one wish. After much troubles along the way including defeating the wicked witch of the west they finally stumble upon Emerald City where they learn the wizard is no great oz just a phony. BE SURE TO RENT THIS CLASSIC FOR IT IS A MUST SEE!

Disney decided to relive the magic that was the Wizard of Oz renaming it OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL. This new film stars James Franco, Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis, and Rachael Weisz. In this feature it shows Oz a small time circus magician uplifted from his roots in kansas and thrusted upon the vibrant land of Oz. He must put forth his talents and become the GREAT AND POWERFUL WIZARD they have been waiting for. Make sure you check this one out in theaters to catch who the real wicked witch is!!! It was a definite surprise for me!

March Movie Madness

Greetings fellow Film Buffs!!!

The month of February produced some great films, However, no big blockbusters had any great following or excitement. It was a month filled with some film releases of good movies but nothing to draw a big attention to certain films. The month of March, that does not seem to be the case at all. All throughout this upcoming month highly anticipated movies will be released almost every weekend. Its a month filled with an overwhelming amount of films that will be a must see hit.

The first weekend of March four films are set to release to start off the month. The four films are all so very different genres and unique in their own way. The movies that will be released are Jack the Giant Slayer, 21 and Over, The Last Exorcism Part 2, and Phantom.

Jack the Giant Slayer which is anticipated to be the top box office hit this weekend portrays a story that we have not seen on the big screen in quite some time. This movie is based on Jack and the beanstalk fairy tales and is a fantasy adventure film. Nicholas Hoult, Stanley Tucci, and Ewan McGregor star in this feature film. It tells the story of Jack (Hoult) a young farmhand, who must rescue a princess from a race of giants after unknowingly opening up a gateway to their world. This movie has had a lot of promotion in hopes of a fantastic opening weekend.

From the makers of The Hangover comes a American teen comedy 21 and Over. It portrays a straight A student and his two friends that take him out for his 21st birthday on the night before his important medical school interview. It was only suppose to be a quick outing of a drink or two, but as the night progresses it shows the boys getting themselves into all kinds of humiliation and hilarity.

These films are sure to be great hits, make sure you check them out!!!

Happy March!!!

Valentines Day Blockbusters

Valentines day is for lovers, it is also a day for bitter, heartbroken people who hate those valentines day lovers. Whichever category you fall under its almost impossible to ignore the appeal and commercialism that valentines day seems to put forth. On this day it is all about showing the person you care for how much they mean to you. Whether you go out to dinner and spend a ridiculous amount of money or you share some quality time with your significant other, the possibilities are endless.

The movie industry has seemed to hop on this bandwagon and focus around this holiday with some movies that will make that day all the more better. Or perhaps to remind those who are alone that they are well alone.. They see this season as an opportunity to target those who are without a significant other and try to warm their hearts with a romantic hit. For the past couple of years a Nicholas Sparks movie has been adapted to the big screen just in time for the season. He is known to write novels that have been huge hits with women. In the past one that has been known as a Valentines day must see each year is The Notebook. Just in time for this Valentines day season another one of his novels are coming to the big screen, Safe Haven. However, this new romantic movie has a bit of darkness to it making it a thriller. It stars two well known actors making the need to see it even greater. For myself, Im a sucker for a good romantic movie and I cant wait to check it out.

If your alone or going out with someone who means a lot, going to the movies is one of the most entertaining ways to spend your Valentines Day. So make sure to either rent a classic Valentines Day movie or be sure to check out Safe Haven now in theaters.
Happy Valentines Day!

Award Season is upon us..

Its that time of the year again that all of us movie buffs live for,We are in the midst of the movie industries biggest events that happen each year.  Where movies that are voted upon are rewarded in categories that have been nominated for their cinematic achievements. The Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild, and the BAFTAS have all come and gone, the next show that to some may be the biggest is the Oscars. All have academies that represent each show that is celebrated in a formal event. The award shows are televised live and shown in all forms of media.

Best Picture is considered the most important of all of the awards. Because it represents all the directing, music, acting, writing and editing that have all been put forth to make that movie what it is. With this being said these formal events are all perfect opportunities for those nominated for best picture to receive some added attention to those films and help boost their box office winnings. Argo has taken the title for all of the shows thus far in 2013 and things are looking very promising for the Oscars. We shall just wait and see how things turn out on Feb 23rd.

Award shows are perfect opportunities for artist, designers, and anyone in the industry to make a name for themselves. Using all forms of social media, as a way of boosting and drawing interest, social media has been helping with reviving the telecast of these shows. Certain techniques have been used but incorporating hashtags has been proven to boost tracking of watchers and promoting themselves at the same time. As for social media things are only starting to heat up, so we can expect new and exciting developments in years to come to keep alive the social media bug.

Be sure to tune into the Oscars and see what shall unfold and what types of media are being used.
